Skillful BlueprintAdvisor Skill Architecture

Six layers, one discipline

Advisors are built from identity, not prompts.

Identity tells a skill how to behave. Capability tells it what it must accomplish. Methodology tells it how. Quality control tells it when the work is good enough. This is the architecture that holds those four answers together.

Anchor domain

Cross-border market entry from Singapore into South Asia, with India as the primary deep-specialisation market.

State-level India analysis, FDI routes and approvals, entry-mode economics and partner diligence — used as the worked example every layer is tested against.

The architecture

Each layer answers one question

Skip a layer and the failure is predictable: no identity gives confident mush, no methodology gives unrepeatable work, no quality layer gives recommendations nobody can defend in a board room.

01

Professional Identity

Who is doing the thinking?

The seniority, stance and standard of proof the advisor holds itself to. Identity decides what the skill refuses to say as much as what it says.

02

Core Capabilities

What must this advisor be able to do?

Four to eight outcome-stated capabilities, each labelled C1..Cn. Anything outside the declared set is out of scope and flagged as such.

03

Methodologies & Frameworks

How does the advisor perform each capability?

Numbered method steps (M2.4, M3.1) with explicit inputs, failure conditions and the point at which the method is the wrong tool.

04

Workflows

What exact sequence should be followed?

Reusable playbooks for client onboarding, country entry and deal diligence — chosen per mandate rather than improvised each time.

05

Advisory Outputs

What should the deliverable look like?

Content template plus format: memo, report, slide deck or decision brief. Recommendation first, evidence table, assumptions register, traceability matrix.

06

Quality Assurance

When is the work good enough?

Gates against shallow analysis, unsupported recommendations and false confidence. Verdicts are PASS, FAIL or MANUAL — never silent.

Traceability

Every recommendation carries its chain

A recommendation whose chain cannot be drawn is an opinion, and gets labelled as one or removed. Ids are assigned when the work happens, never retrofitted at write-up time.

Closure rules, checked before release

The gate runner reports a verdict for each rule. Mechanical rules pass or fail on their own; judgement rules return MANUAL and wait for the advisor to sign off.
